Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making huge earnings.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is really going ahead.
